Lead Backend Engineer
June 2026 — Present- Developed and shipped the .NET microservice that syncs YouDo's data into a third-party CDP for automated messaging. Partnered with the marketing team to turn campaign goals into concrete technical requirements, and liaised directly with the CDP vendor's engineering team to align on API capabilities and constraints.
- Implemented and launched a data processing and transfer service to meet government regulatory requirements. Developed a strategy for refactoring the monolith's legacy code and carried out the changes needed to integrate it with the service.
- Participated in splitting the monolith into separate services.
- Champion AI-first principles within the team and apply them in development. Coordinate AI agents from requirements analysis and specification drafting through implementation and verification. Large tasks are handled by multiple agents in parallel, with a separate agent reviewing their work. Create custom agent skills for recurring tasks.
- Established a process for AI-assisted auditing and testing of changes that the team adopted as a stage before manual QA. Agents review code, independently run user scenarios through the interface, and report results and discovered issues. This reduces the workload on testers for large changes and helps uncover hidden defects.

- Incrementally decomposed the .NET Framework monolith, separating domain modules and moving selected functionality into .NET Core microservices.
